The Apostle Paul exhorts us to pray for those in authority. "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty" (1 Tim. 2:1–2).

I'VE BEEN INTERESTED in track and field since my school days. From the time I was in grade school, I can remember running races with every kid in town. As a youngster, I dreamed of running in track meets.
In my junior year in high school I went to a Christian boarding school. Soon after enrolling, I discovered that the school didn't have a track team. It seemed like my dream was gone.

THERE'S NO QUESTION about it, the world is a crazy place right now. When we look around, it's easy to see that things going on today are just like it was told in the Bible. In Second Timothy 3:1, the Apostle Paul wrote, "In the last days there will be very difficult times" (NLT). He goes on to say that people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God (vs. 2 NLT). Paul's description sounds a lot like today.
