For Such A Time As This

The message of faith works everywhere—even in grim economic conditions., a nation that is doing whatever it can to stay afloat. But in spite of government measures, unemployment remains rampant. And for many Greeks, the future looks bleak.

Seed Thoughts

//Lynette Hagin

"The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be Like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail." -Isaiah 58:11 (NIV 1984)

The scripture that has guided me all my life is Proverbs 3:5–6 (NLT): "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take."

Sharing the Love of Jesus . . . With the Girls of the Night

AugWOF copy-25

"The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light."
—Matthew 4:16 (NKJV)

ON ANY GIVEN DAY in the Costa del Sol region of Spain you'll find street girls—girls of the night—selling their bodies to those passing by. They're young, and as they wander the filthy streets, scantily clad and looking for "work," they are seemingly without hope.

In reality, hope is not far away. Armed with her Bible and the message of God's love, 1989 Rhema Bible Training College graduate Joyce McNaughton is doing what Jesus did. She's reaching out. She sees something in these girls that others do not—a future. And she's loving them when no one else does.

Heart to Heart

Will You Sing at Midnight?

It's so important that we guard against being problem-conscious instead of spirit-conscious. When we are problem-conscious, we will criticize and condemn everything we look at and think about. Everything we see will be negative. On the other hand, if we stop focusing on our problems and focus on Jesus, the way we view our problems will change. Our imperfections and negativism will fade away when we get our focus off of problems and onto the Problem Solver.
