Can one man pay for the sins of the world?As we celebrate the Easter season this year, the words the Lord spoke on the cross—“. . . It is finished . . .” (John 19:30)—still echo down through the ages. And they provide salvation and healing for everyone who trusts in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
“After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. . . . When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.”

“It is finished.” Jesus spoke these words during one of the darkest hours in the history of the human race. An angry mob had just crucified the Son of God.

The third chapter of Acts records the healing of a man who had been lame from birth. Every day this man was carried to the Temple and laid by the gate called Beautiful. There he begged for money from those who passed through the gate to enter the Temple.
