Hope: The Greatest Gift Ever Given

To many people, Christmas is about giving and receiving. There is an excitement in finding the perfect gifts for loved ones and seeing the looks on their faces as they open their gifts. And there is also a joy in receiving a gift that you really wanted or were surprised to receive. To our Heavenly Father, Christmas is also about giving and receiving. The Bible says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (NIV). God gave us the most precious gift He could give—Jesus Christ. And Jesus gave His life for us so we could spend eternity in Heaven with Him. All we have to do is receive Him as our Lord and Savior. This greatest Gift is available to you right now. If you haven’t made Jesus your Lord and Savior, pray the following prayer:

Dear God,
I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I admit that I am not right with You, and I want to be right with You. I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. The Bible says if I confess with my mouth that “Jesus is Lord” and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I will be saved (Rom. 10:9). I believe with my heart and I confess with my mouth that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of my life. Thank You for the greatest Christmas Gift ever! In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
