Review: A Call To Arms
Who's Report Will You Believe?

The prophet Isaiah asked, "Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?" (Isa. 53:1 NKJV). Whenever you encounter problems, it's up to you to decide which report you will believe—either reports about your natural circumstances or the promises of God. Many people say they believe God's Word, but their actions in the midst of a trial prove otherwise.
In Numbers chapters 13 and 14 we read the account of the 12 spies Moses sent to explore the Promised Land. This story is relevant to us today because we're dealing with the same devil, and he hasn't changed. He's telling the same lies today that he did back then. In the midst of adversity it boils down to this: what are we going to believe? People often believe what they see and hear. And some always have an excuse for why something won't work. When you mention God's promises, they yawn and say, "I know the Bible says that." And with a lackadaisical attitude, they go on about their business.
Joshua and Caleb were part of the 12. They saw the same things the others saw. Although 10 of the spies brought back an evil report, Joshua and Caleb saw things differently. They believed God when He said, "I'm going to give you the land." They knew there were problems, but they believed God would deliver them.
Caleb and Joshua had faith. They believed God and spoke out what they believed. They never changed their confession the entire time they were in the wilderness. In our own situations, we should follow their examples to continually declare the word of the Lord until we see it manifest in our lives. Joshua and Caleb kept saying it. And they were the only two of the older generation who saw the Promised Land.
Speaking the report of the Lord can't be something we do occasionally. It needs to become a lifestyle. And as we believe and continually speak, God's arm will be extended to us. And like Joshua and Caleb, we will enter our Promised Land.
Trust God in the face of all obstacles. That's what hundreds of men who attended A Call to Arms 2012 were encouraged to do. Men came from 35 states and five countries to attend. Host Kenneth W. Hagin challenged them to believe God and His Word no matter what. David Vasquez encouraged men to never give up—never throw in the towel. And guest speaker Keith Hudson urged them to trust God for the ability to see ahead and know what to do.
In between main sessions, workshops got to the point—addressing marriage, addictions, money, health, and other men's issues. There was also plenty of time to kick back and relax. The three-day event concluded with a powerful Communion service. Those who attended left stirred up in faith—challenged and encouraged to be the men God created them to be.
A Call to Arms 2013 takes place November 7–9 on the Rhema USA campus in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
