Don't Sell Yourself Short

I WANT YOU TO KNOW this—you are somebody. YOU ARE SOMEBODY, GOING SOMEWHERE, TO BE EFFECTIVE FOR GOD. You are special. You are valuable. And you are worthy in the sight of God. You are a pearl of great price. You are the apple of His eye. And God has proven it in the Bi- ble over and over again how much He cares for you.

That's why today, in your world—in your life—you need to remember the Word. Whatever you're going through, whatever issues you're dealing with, there is a solution in God's Word that you can remind Him of. THERE'S NOT ANY SITUATION YOU'RE IN TODAY THAT IS TOO GREAT FOR GOD TO GET YOU OUT OF.

You've tried it your way. You just need to surrender. Surrender and acknowledge, "I missed it there." You can't change what you don't acknowledge.

Let me tell you something. I minister and attend conferences all over the world. There's no point in going to a conference unless you plan to leave changed. You have to make a decision that you're going to do something about what you're going through, based on the Word of God.

Everyone—I guarantee you— is going through something. That's not the issue. The real issue is, how are you handling it? If you know who you are in Christ, you have a position to stand before God and put Him in remembrance of His Word. That's what Moses did in Exodus chapter 32. He said, "God, remember Your Word," and the Israelites were saved from destruction.

Yes, the pressures of life are real. Stress and depression are real. They just don't belong to us. God never intended for us to operate under stress. That's why Philippians 4:6 says, "Be anxious for nothing, but with prayer and supplication and thanksgiving, make your request known unto Him."

Whatever it is that's got you uptight and worried, you do something about it. Make your request known unto Him. And then, even when the circumstances have not changed, verse 7 says that you can have the peace of God. In the midst of the turmoil, the midnight hour, misbehaving kids, lack, or waiting for your husband to show up on the scene, God is saying, "Have peace." It will pass all understanding.

The Lord said, "Be anxious for nothing." That means WHATEVER YOU'RE DEALING WITH RIGHT NOW, YOU HAVE AN OBLIGATION TO MAKE YOUR REQUEST ABOUT THAT THING KNOWN UNTO GOD.

Ladies, there is a high price tag on you. You are valuable. The Father has spent a heavy penny on you, and our happiness matters to Him. It matters to Him that you are pleased and satisfied with where you are in life. Sure, we can all come to a conference like this and put on our best and everybody can smile. But God knows what is going on in your life. So put on that happy face, but then apply the Word to your life and that smile will stay there. It will be real, because God honors His Word.
