Stir Up Your Dream!

Campmeeting 2012//Darrell Huffman, Campmeeting 2011 Speaker

God didn’t just run you through a cookie cutter. He took the time to mold you special. Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” You are His workmanship! And you were created in Christ Jesus for good works that He prepared ahead of time for you to walk in.

God had a plan for you before you were ever born! In fact, Jeremiah 29:11 says that the Lord is thinking about you.

Don’t miss any of our awesome Campmeeting speakers this year! Check out our website for all the event details and start planning your trip today!

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” The Amplified Bible reads, “For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.”

God is not only thinking about you, but He has good plans for you that involve faith, peace, and an expected end. The great thing about God is that when He gives you a plan, He also gives you the gifting, ability, and anointing to carry that thing out. Ephesians chapter 4 says that with every gift God gives you, He gives you the grace to fulfill it. And as Jeremiah chapter 29 says, that grace and faith—those thoughts and plans—are not just for when you start out. They are to carry you all the way to your expected end. In other words, God expects you to fulfill what He called you to do. He wants you to fulfill your dreams.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve messed up. Romans 11:29 says that “the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.” God can still use you! No matter what comes your way, He created you to win. He did not create you to fail. He didn’t give you a dream—a plan— for you to make it only halfway. If you’ll hook up with Him, He’ll begin to work in your life and you’ll accomplish what He has called you to do.

Don’t let the devil steal the plan of God from you. Remember, John 10:10 says that the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. There’s nothing the devil likes more than to nullify the witness of Jesus Christ in your life. He’s out to steal the dreams of God—the plans and purposes of God. He wants to stop you from running the race. He’s trying to steal your expectations.

But the second half of John 10:10 says that Jesus came so we can “have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)” (Amplified). That’s God’s plan for you. He wants you to have so much of His life, so much of His plan, so much of His purpose, and so much of His passion that you’re enjoying life and affecting everybody around you. He wants your life to be such a blessing that people want the Jesus you serve.

Do you want the dreams of God—the plan of God—to burn in you today? Stir up that “inner fire” on the inside (2 Tim. 1:6 Amplified). Get in the Word, stay with the Word, and refuse to let hard times, persecutions, or the distractions of this age come in. Then you’ll have God’s thoughts. You’ll have His plans and passion, and you’ll begin to do what He had planned for you all along.
