Champions of Conquering Faith

Pastor A Call to Arms//Kenneth W. Hagin

Those listed in Hebrews chapter 11 overthrew kingdoms with their faith. We can overthrow the kingdom of Satan with our faith. If we’re going to be people of conquering faith, we can’t have fear.

Hebrews 11:39–40 says, “All these people earned a good reputation because of their faith, yet none of them received all that God had promised. For God had something better in mind for us, so that they would not reach perfection without us” (NLT). That “something better” is Jesus. Through Jesus, all of us become perfect and complete and are able to rise and be conquerors through faith.

Maybe our individual win-and-lose records over sin aren’t very good. But the truth is, Jesus marched into hell and defeated Satan and his kingdom for people just like you and me. Our championship of conquering faith does not come because we can roll up our sleeves and conquer. It comes because Jesus has already conquered! All we have to do is walk in it. What Jesus did for us enables us to leave the ranks of the defeated and join those of conquering faith.

He came, He fought, He won, and we are conquerors. The question is, will we take our place with those who march with conquering faith because of what Jesus has done? Jesus qualified us to be in the list of Hebrews chapter 11—people of conquering faith.

Romans 8:37 in the Richert translation says, “In all things Jesus our great Leader has established us as invincible champions through His amazing provision for us.” Because of what Jesus did, we’re not just called conquerors; we’re called more than conquerors. We have been established as invincible champions.

Being people of faith—conquering heroes—does not mean that we have to be superhuman. It simply means that we have to be willing to yield to God. It doesn’t matter what we’ve done. When we turn ourselves over to God, He can use us, and we can take our place in the ranks of those that are marching forward as conquerors in faith.

Hundreds of men from 35 states and five countries were encouraged to become champions of conquering faith at the 2011 Call to Arms® Men’s Conference. From Kenneth W. Hagin’s keynote message through the workshops and main sessions to the wrap up, the men were exhorted to become all that God has created them to be.

Bracken Christian challenged his hearers to expand their vision and not grow discouraged when obstacles arise. Rick Renner held up the faith-filled life of the Apostle John to urge the men to keep pressing forward. In between sessions there was plenty of time to kick back, relax, and get to know others. Saturday morning provided a fitting end to a great three days. Men from across the country and beyond joined in Communion, ready to take on the world with conquering faith in Jesus Christ!

Main Sessions

Bracken Christian“Expanding Your Vision” // Bracken Christian

“Our lives are supposed to go from glory to glory. But something has to happen on the inside of us before things begin to change on the outside. If we want to expand on the outside, we have to begin to expand on the inside. Our lives move in the direction of our most dominant thoughts. Our lives move toward what we are focusing on, not toward what we desire. We can desire something, but we’ll move toward what we’re focusing on in our minds on a consistent basis. When we feed ourselves the Word of God, we begin to change on the inside. It is the Spirit that causes expansion.”

Rick Renner“John: A Man of Conquering Faith” // Rick Renner

“The Church has been a mess from its inception, and it is still a mess. With all of the weird doctrine and with all of the people that have messed up, it is a miracle that the Church of Jesus Christ exists. Yet here we still are. It doesn’t matter what we have done to it or how many generations have sinned against it. In the mind of God the Church is still golden (valuable). Jesus paid for it with His blood. He loves it. It is valuable to Jesus, and we need to love it like He loves it.
