Around the Pacific Rim in 14 Days

Around the Pacific Rim in 14 Days//Kenneth and Lynette Hagin

Kenneth and Lynette Hagin love greeting their RHEMA Bible Church congregation and visitors after service on Sunday mornings. And even though they needed to get to the airport as soon as possible on April 24, 2011, they wouldn’t miss talking with the people as they left church. So after the last hand was shaken and the last neck was hugged, they quickly made their way to the Tulsa International Airport to begin their tour of the international RHEMA Bible Training Centers along the Pacific Rim.

This trip, which they make every other year, is grueling. Fourteen days. Fourteen time zone changes. Crossing the international dateline twice. Getting five hours of sleep or less a night. And giving 110 percent at each stop.

Why do they do this? Some people slow down as they get older. But not the Hagins. They know there is a short time until the Lord’s return. And they want to make sure as many people as possible are trained to take the Gospel to the four corners of the earth. Instead of slowing down, they’re pushing forward.

Kenneth and Lynette don’t want any student or graduate of an international RHEMA Bible Training Center to feel disconnected from RHEMA USA. So every year they travel to different international schools to meet students and grads. They teach them, build them up, and speak into their lives.

The Hagins also have a heart for the international school leaders, all of whom are visionaries. It seems that RHEMA attracts men and women who have big plans— plans that will affect nations and people for eternity. Kenneth and Lynette want to pour into the lives of these men and women—encouraging them, strengthening them, and letting them know they are there for them.

A lot happened during the two weeks Kenneth and Lynette were gone—way too much to recount on this page. Besides, a picture can be worth a thousand words. So we thought we’d show you some pictures here and invite you to read a more detailed overview of the trip at www.khm.com/pacificrim.
