Don & Toni May

May Toni-DonMEXICO

World Indigenous Missions

Don and Toni have a passion for indigenous people groups of the world. They completed language training in a small coastal village in Mexico and are now working with World Indigenous Missions to reach a tribal people group in the Sierra Madre Mountains of Western Central Mexico. This mostly unreached tribal people group is resistant to the gospel and requires a strategy of love and compassion to win them to Christ.

Toni and Don are serving with a senior missionary couple who have been ministering in the remote region for several years. Together, they show God’s love in a tangible way through humanitarian work including medical clinics, building teams and water projects in order to break up the hard ground of resistance and build trust in the community. This enables them to share the gospel of Christ and be involved in discipleship, church planting and development.

Andrew and Aida Weaver

Andrés con las mariposasMEXICO

In May of 1994 Andrew Weaver arrived in Mexico to start his career in prison ministry. He lived in Monterrey for eight years and then moved to Aguascalientes (in central Mexico) where he continued his prison ministry. He ministers by teaching the Bible and in song (using Mexican style music) in the two Aguascalientes prisons. Much of his ministry is to drug addicts and alcoholics, since, according to the prison officials, about 70% of the men who are in prison are there because of substance abuse.
Rev.Weaver is now working closely with a Christian drug and alcohol rehab center. Andrew has a bible study in their men's home every week. He also has bible studies in the homes of the families of the prisoners. Rev. Weaver is now starting his own business to give the men employment when they get out of prison. Through that he can disciple them. He urges them very strongly to attend the church of this drug and alcohol rehab center when they are released from prison, because this church understands the problems of these men much better than a normal church would. He has preached in the church services there a number of times.

Arbol De Vida

Jeff is a 2nd generation church planter and a 1988 Rhema graduate. Jeff also earned a bachelors degree from Southwestern Assemblies of God University. Jeff and his wife Sylvia have a passion for missions and local church ministry. They have ministered throughout Mexico leading medical teams, construction teams, ministry teams, and leadership conferences. They also lived, worked, and ministered in Lima Peru. Jeff has served as an Associate Pastor since 1999 at Tree of Life Church in New Braunfels, Texas. His parents, who were Rhema grads, pioneered Tree of Life. Jeff and Sylvia were sent out from Tree of Life in June of 2010 to plant a sister church in the heart of central Mexico. They are located in the city of Leon, Guanajuato where just over 1% of the population claim to know Christ as Lord and Savior. Leon is a city of nearly 2 million people and one of the least evangelized regions of Mexico. They believe that God has called them to establish a life-giving spirit filled model of local church ministry that emphasizes family, discipleship, leadership development, small groups, compassionate outreach both in the city of Leon, and throughout the globe; as well as an emphasis on relevant teaching and worship all while building a culture of community and care both inside and outside of the church.

Tim Rogers Ministries  RHEMA Mexico

Churches achieve success by adding value to their members. Helping people to become valuable for the Kingdom of God through the knowledge of God's Word, heartfelt worship and serving one another and their community.
RHEMA Mexico is achieving these ideals by reaching our generation through inspired messages from God's Word, worship services where members have freedom to worship God from their heart and outreach programs that embrace the ideals of Christ ~ "Compassionate Care and Love for People."

Purpose: We are building people and in turn God's people are building the church.
Goal: Personal responsibility to grow in every area of life: Spirit, Soul and Body. Becoming people who govern their lives by the truth of God's Word, a church known for its loving and kind people who cultivate a "Safe Harbor" atmosphere and enjoy successful relationships.

The results? A church who's impact and influence are changing the heart of the city. A church whose Christian influence will be felt in our homes, businesses, education systems and civic organizations.
