What's His Favorite Name?

You may have several names that you are known by. If your name is Robert, you might be called Rob, Robby, or even Bob. But, more than likely, there’s one name that you’d rather be called more than any other . . . your favorite name! Well, God has several names that He is known by too! One person might call Him “Almighty God” while someone else calls Him “Jehovah God” and still another calls Him “Lord God.” He has a lot of different names, but, just like you, there is one name that He would rather be called more than any other. To many people, Christmas is about giving and receiving. There is an excitement in finding the perfect gifts for loved ones and seeing the looks on their faces as they open their gifts. And there is also a joy in receiving a gift that you really wanted or were surprised to receive. To our Heavenly Father, Christmas is also about giving and receiving. The Bible says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (NIV). God gave us the most precious gift He could give—Jesus Christ. And Jesus gave His life for us so we could spend eternity in Heaven with Him. All we have to do is receive Him as our Lord and Savior. This greatest Gift is available to you right now. If you haven’t made Jesus your Lord and Savior, pray the following prayer:
