Heart To Heart January 2017

1 Jan2017 KWH H2HGod Will Continue That Work

// Kenneth W. Hagin

Psalm 138:8 (NKJV) declares, "The Lord will perfect that which concerns me." When God starts something in us, He doesn't stop halfway. He is faithful to work out His plan for our lives. And if He did it once, He'll do it again.

God is not a one-time God—He's an every-time God. Some people may get only a one-time blessing, but they could be blessed every day! The reason they get blessed only once is, that's all they were expecting. We get what we expect.

You see, once God gets started, He keeps going—day after day, week after week, month after month, and year after year. He doesn't get tired or have bad moods or bad days. In fact, Scripture says that He doesn't sleep or slumber (Ps. 121:4). He doesn't work 9 to 5, 3 to 11, or 11 to 7. No, our Heavenly Father is a 24/7/365, always-on-duty God!

Navigating the Seasons of Life

2 Jan2017 KWHarticle// Kenneth W. Hagin

WHATEVER YOUR AGE, vocation, or location, there's a time and season for everything. Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV) says, "To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven."

Times and seasons are there for us all, and they affect us not only in our natural life, but in our spiritual life. As you follow the Holy Spirit, He'll lead you into the different seasons of your life. To successfully follow the Holy Spirit, we have to learn to navigate the times of our lives.

GENESIS 8:22 (NKJV)

22 While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.

Using Our Authority for Finances

3 Jan2017 KEH SinglePg Finances// Kenneth E. Hagin

WHEN GOD CREATED the world, He gave dominion over all the works of His hands to Adam (Gen. 1:26, 28). In one sense, then, Adam was god of this world, because God turned it over to him.

But we read in Second Corinthians 4:4 that Satan is now the god of this world. How did that happen? Adam committed treason in the Garden of Eden by willfully eating of the forbidden fruit (Gen. 3:1–7). When he did this, he gave Satan man's dominion over the earth.

In Luke 4:6–7 Satan said to Jesus, "All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine." Who delivered this power to Satan? Adam did!

Loving the Least of These

4 Jan2017 SpecialReport HoupeSpecial Report

"Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?' And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.' "
—MATTHEW 25:37–40 (NKJV)

STEVE HOUPE grew up in dire poverty. Other kids made fun of him because he had holes in his shoes and dirty clothes. He smelled bad because he couldn't take a bath. The shack he lived in didn't have running water. His alcoholic father sometimes wouldn't come home for days. As a kid he had to learn to take care of himself.

God Is Not Finished Yet

5 Jan2017 Yoder SinglePg// Marvin Yoder

A PROCLAMATION of the creation of Heaven and earth is found in the first three verses of the Book of Genesis: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" (Gen 1:1 NKJV). This is not an explanation of creation. It is a revelation of God proclaiming, "I created the Heavens and the earth."

Verse 2 (NKJV) continues, "The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters."

This is much like a mother hen sitting on her eggs waiting for them to hatch. The hen moves them around to make sure they get turned. She fluffs up over them and flutters around them. She is getting the eggs ready so that at the right moment, life can come forth. Likewise, the Holy Spirit "hovered over the face of the waters," getting ready for life to come forth.
