Seed Thoughts: April 2013

April Pic10//Lynette Hagin

"The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be Like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail."
-Isaiah 58:11 (NIV 1984)

I Am Sure That You probably have a few favorite scriptures that you refer to consistently. One scripture that ministers to me is Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Not Guilty!

//Craig W. Hagin

Jesus redeemed mankind from sin on the Cross of Calvary. When something is redeemed, it means it was bought or a debt was paid in full. Jesus paid the ultimate price to redeem us. He willingly shed His blood to take care of our sin issue. His blood wiped away our debt of sin.

Special Report: International Rhema

Zambia Is Home to one of the world’s largest waterfalls, incredible natural beauty, and exotic wildlife. It’s also where Walker and Haley Schurz and their children, Timothy and Jessica, call home. The Schurzes moved to this breathtakingly beautiful southern African country in January of 2004. “We get to live where people go for vacation,” says Walker. He and his wife, both 1991 Rhema USA graduates, pastor Miracle Life Family Church in Lusaka, the nation’s capital. That’s also where they’ve opened Rhema Zambia.

I Was Dying

April Pic7Imagine being confined to your home for 10 years—and to your bed for most of that time. Imagine watching as your body slowly shuts down, forcing you, on your best days, to crawl to simply get a drink of water. Imagine yourself being cared for by your young child—a child who is wary of coming home and opening the door for fear he may find you dead.

Nellie Koleva doesn’t have to imagine these things. She lived them.

Faith to Prosper

Campmeeting Speaker Highlight

When We Choose to live by faith, we are choosing more than a title. We’re choosing more than someone being able to call us faith people. It’s more than a faith necklace, wristband, or hat we wear. There’s nothing wrong with those external things, but faith goes far beyond them.

Faith reaches into the innermost part of our being. It reaches into our words and actions. It reaches into how we walk in life—how we humble ourselves to God. Faith Should Reach Into Every Aspect Of Our Lives.

Sometimes when people accept Jesus as Savior—especially if they’ve not been taught—they think there’s nothing involved in the Christian life but saying, “Thank You, Lord.” But there’s more to walking in faith and victory than that.

Perfectly Loved

April pic1a

//Karen Jensen

“And we have known and believed the love that God has for us.
 God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God,
 and God in him” (1 John 4:16).

No Matter what’s going on in our lives, we must know that we are perfectly loved by the Most High God. He loves us unconditionally.

There’s no one else in our lives like our Heavenly Father. People have ulterior motives; they have agendas. And they aren’t always looking out for our good.

But God is not manipulative, and He’s not a puppet master. The only reason He ever tells us or asks us to do anything is for our benefit. His only motive toward us is love. He’s been to our future and back and He knows more than we do.

That might be a revelation for some of us! GOD KNOWS MORE THAN WE DO. He’s been around a lot longer and He knows our future. So if He tells us to go a certain way, we need to go. He’s trying to help us.

Why Me?

April Pic4Timeless Teachings of Kenneth E. Hagin

Often, Before You Can Receive anything from God, you must find answers to the questions that are keeping you from receiving. As long as questions crowd your mind, you’ll have doubts, and your faith will be hindered.

I know from my own experience on a bed of sickness that there were questions in my mind that had to be settled before my faith could be effective. That’s the reason I was bedfast 16 months from ages 15 to 17.

Sometimes it would take me weeks and months to find the answer to a question, and just about the time I found one answer, the devil would bring up something else.

Rhema Brazil: Celebrate - Then Go!

Just One Week after Craig and Mia Hagin returned from China (see page 8), Craig packed his bags again and headed south to the lush country of Brazil. There he met up with Bud and Jan Wright, directors of Rhema Brazil, and joined in congratulating another round of Rhema grads. Over 6,800 men and women have graduated since Rhema Brazil began. Today there are 60 campuses located throughout this sprawling nation.

The Key to the Supernatural

April Pic2

//Kenneth W. Hagin

The Lord Has shown me that the key to the lastday move of the supernatural power of God will be found in two words: unity and accord.

According to Webster's New World Dictionary, the word unity means “the state of being one or united; oneness; singleness.” Another definition is “the quality of being one in spirit and purpose.” Accord means almost the same thing: “mutual agreement; harmony.”

Stay With the Obvious

In the midst of the tests and trials we face in life, we must remember that God is there to help us. Many people forget the truth of what the Word says as they go through difficulties. Their troubles weigh so heavy on them that they can't see anything but the problem.

Remember the prophet Elisha's servant in Second Kings chapter 6? He saw the city surrounded with an army of horses and chariots and asked Elisha, "'Oh, my lord, what shall we do?' " (v. 15 NiV 1984). The prophet answered, " 'Don't be afraid. . . . Those who are with us are more than those who are with them' " (v. 16 NiV 1984).
