The Old Testament Passover commemorated the children of Israel's deliverance from the hand of Pharaoh's tyranny in Egypt. In the Bible, Egypt is a type, or symbol, of sin. The Israelites' deliverance required the blood of a lamb. Today when we take Communion, we remember our spiritual deliverance from the bondage of sin through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Communion could be called a "New Testament Passover."

The Bible says that where there is no vision—no revelation of Jesus Christ and His will for our lives—people will perish or cast off restraint. What does that mean? It means that if we don't know the Lord and don't understand His plan for our lives, we'll live and act any way we please.

Isaiah 53:3 reminds us that Jesus experienced rejection so that we could experience victory over it! Isaiah let us know that Jesus would be a man so familiar with rejection during His life on earth that He would come to understand sorrow and pain. But, like Jesus, we have been given the supernatural ability to overcome rejection and live in freedom!

Have you ever felt like no one cares—that you're all alone and you have no place to turn? Maybe you've felt rejected because others have said you're not smart enough, tall enough, or even pretty or handsome enough.

Whatever people have said about you and however you've felt in the past, we want you to know that someone cares. God cares. He loves you. And He sent Jesus to make a way for you to be part of His family and live with Him forever.

Whenever I think of February, I think of love and Valentine's Day. On February 14, many people celebrate the love of their life, and it is certainly wonderful to do that. Yet it is more important that we learn to practice love in our lives on a daily basis.

The only fight the Christian is called upon to fight is the faith fight. If we are in any other kind of fight, we are in the wrong fight. We need to get out of the wrong fight and get into the right one.

Who's Report Will You Believe?

The prophet Isaiah asked, "Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?" (Isa. 53:1 NKJV). Whenever you encounter problems, it's up to you to decide which report you will believe—either reports about your natural circumstances or the promises of God. Many people say they believe God's Word, but their actions in the midst of a trial prove otherwise.

SPECIAL REPORT: INTERNATIONAL RHEMA

During prayer meetings that Kenneth E. Hagin held in the early '80s, he often told the congregation to pray for the country the Lord had laid on their hearts. For John Romick, a 1984 RBTC grad, that "country" was South America. And during his two years at Rhema, he laid a foundation of prayer for what he is doing today.

There is a saying that I've heard much of my life: "You may be the only Bible some people read; you may be the only Jesus some people see." The first time I heard that I thought, "Wow! What kind of Bible or Jesus are people seeing through me?" As Christians we have an awesome responsibility to exemplify Christ in our everyday lives.
