Heart to Heart: Possessing Our Promised Land

New Year Art

The new year is a time of new beginnings. It’s an opportunity for us to leave behind the previous year—especially if it has been a difficult one—and press forward into a new season.

I am reminded of a time when the children of Israel were about to begin a new season in their lives. As they prepared to enter the Promised Land, Moses said to them, “Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may LIVE and INCREASE and may ENTER and POSSESS the land that the Lord promised on oath to your forefathers” (Deut. 8:1 NIV 1984).

Words Fitly Spoken

Words//Kenneth W. Hagin

Whenever I drove my children to school when they were little, before they got out of the car, I always said, “Daddy loves you, Jesus loves you, and you can be whatever you want to be.” I did this because I know that words are containers and that they can make an impact on others. Words filled with love, joy, peace, and encouragement can lift a person up, while words filled with doubt, unbelief, jealousy, and hatred can destroy an individual.

A Healing River Across Peru

Peru// Arequipa, Peru

The diagnosis was grim. She had 11 tumors in one breast, 13 in the other, and three incurable diseases. Doctors gave her no hope. Three times a week she’d go to her local church and pat the statues of the saints on the feet, desperately trying to get their attention—but to no avail. She was dying.

Then she heard something. At a meeting in her city, people were being prayed for and healed. Immediately she said to herself, “I’m going to that meeting and Jesus is going to heal me.” She went and was completely healed. Every tumor instantly disappeared! “I went to Jesus one time, and He healed me,” she exclaimed.

Who decided to call it 'Reality' television?

Reality Salvation//Let God show you true reality–the reality of His love.

The Bible says we all have sinned.
“All of us have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory” (Rom. 3:23 CEV).
“The Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin” (Gal. 3:22 NLT).

Cheer Up!

Cheer Up!//Brenda Thomas

I once heard about a parakeet named Chippie. The bird’s problems began when his owner used a vacuum to clean up the seeds and loose feathers from the bottom of his cage. When the phone rang, the owner turned to pick up the phone and, you guessed it, with a thud and a swoosh, Chippie was gone!
