Where Were You?

Sept WOF 1A//CRAIG W. HAGIN

Eleven years have passed since the United States fell victim to a terrorist attack on September 11, 2001. As with most national tragedies or triumphs, many people can remember exactly where they were when they first heard the news. I was in my bedroom packing my suitcase for a ministry trip to Florida, a trip that ended up being canceled.

Many of us also remember where we were when major news came in our personal lives. I'll never forget being in a hotel in Augusta, Georgia, with my grandfather, Kenneth E. Hagin, when I found out I was going to be a father for the first time. It's been nearly 20 years, but I still remember the excitement I felt that day.

I also remember the Sunday my grandfather was rushed to the hospital, a week before he passed away. When I received the call, I was washing my four-wheelers after doing some riding.

Most importantly, I remember where I was the day I surrendered my life to Christ. I was 4 years old and responded to an altar call given by the children's pastor at Sheridan Assembly of God in Tulsa, Oklahoma. That's actually the building where Rhema first started, and it's also where I started my walk with God.

If you've never accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, now is your time to create a memory of where you were when you gave your life to Him. Simply pray the following prayer:

God,
I come to You in Jesus' Name. I admit that I'm a sinner and need forgiveness for my sins. The Bible says, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Rom. 10:9 NLT). I believe in my heart that You raised Jesus, Your Son, from the dead. And I confess Jesus as my Lord. Therefore, according to Your Word, I am saved. In Jesus' Name, amen.

If you prayed this prayer, welcome to God's family! I would like to send you some materials to help you in your new life with God. Email the ministry at PartnerService@rhema.org or call us at 1-800-54-FAITH (543-2484).
