Rockets Over RHEMA

Rockets Over RHEMARockets Over RHEMA 2011, a free Independence Day community outreach of RHEMA Bible Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, went off with a BANG again this year, both literally and figuratively. Local police estimated that 50,000 to 55,000 people blanketed the RHEMA USA campus during the event, which was capped by a dazzling, thunderous, 25-minute fireworks display. It was the grand finale of a great day spent celebrating our nation’s freedom.

The event kicked off at 5:00 p.m. with an enthusiastic patriotic tribute in the RHEMA Bible Church Auditorium. Amid the singing and dancing were video reminders of the respect the Founding Fathers and other high officials have had through the years for God’s role in the history of the United States. And sobering scenes honored the price paid by many in the military to keep the nation free.

Then came hours of fun in the sun with inflatable games, a car show, a mechanical bull, a rock-climbing wall, a basketball-shooting contest, face painting, and plenty of food. While all of that took place, Hawk Nelson, Fireflight, Stars Go Dim, and The AXIS Worship Band played family-friendly music for everyone to enjoy.

Rockets Over RHEMA gets bigger and better each year, so if you’re in or around Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on July 1, 2012, stop by and enjoy the festivities!
