Newly Remodeled Children’s Auditorium Offers Exciting Atmosphere for ‘Sight and Sound’ Generation!

“Children are bombarded on a daily basis with multimedia—the Internet, television, music videos, video games, arcades—and that is all so exciting for the children,” says Denise Burns, RHEMA Bible Church children’s minister. “We wanted to have a place that would offer children the sights and sounds of God, not the sights and sounds of the world.”

Now used regularly as part of the wide range of ministries offered at RHEMA Bible Church, the refurbished auditorium suits the needs of a “sight and sound” generation. In addition to being used for children’s ministry Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings, and Wednesday evenings, it is also used to educate and train future children’s ministers who attend RHEMA Bible Training Center.

The New Facilities
Remodeling the 7,000-square-foot children’s auditorium has remarkably improved its look and appeal for its intended users—children in the first through fifth grades. With bright walls of yellow, orange, purple, green, and blue, the auditorium is designed to serve as many as 600 youngsters. And there’s plenty to capture their attention, including two new projectors and screens, a redesigned stage with special lighting effects, new audio equipment, and ten multiple-player video game units that children can play before service time.

Funding for the $60,000 project and much of the labor were provided by members of the RHEMA Bible Church family. “Sowing financial seed into a child’s life,” Denise Burns says, “will always yield high returns.”

Planet Kids (Sundays at 10:30 a.m.)
Valuable life lessons in an atmosphere of high-octane fun!
At Planet Kids, children experience contemporary praise and worship, captivating object lessons, exciting puppet skits and dramas, and attention-grabbing sermons, all of which reinforce the mission of Planet Kids—to take “God’s Word to a Kid’s World.”

F.A.I.T.H. Academy (Sundays at 7:00 p.m.)
Lively illustrations, instruction, and activities help younger believers become Fearless, Anointed, Inward-led, Trustworthy Heirs of God! Each week in Faith Academy, “cadets” enjoy stimulating praise and worship and fascinating children’s messages. They grow in faith by hearing testimonies from their peers about how God is moving in their lives.

Special Wednesday Night Services (7:00 p.m.)
During these services, children have the opportunity to experience how much fun it is to serve God! All activities are designed to help children build solid Christian friendships that will last a lifetime!

At RHEMA Bible Church, there’s no end to the creative avenues and innovative ideas utilized to reach children with the Gospel. But every avenue and idea is lovingly employed with one very important goal in mind: to make attending church not only a way of life for children, but downright fun!
