Lana Vasquez

Vasquez Lana July 2020THAILAND

Life Impact International

Growing up in California, Lana found herself addicted to alcohol and eventually developing epilepsy from drug addiction. At 19, she heard the Gospel and everything changed. Lana was delivered from drugs and alcohol and healed of epilepsy. At that moment, it became her commitment to reach and rescue others, which has led her to some of the most desperate places in the world. For over 17 years, Lana and the Life Impact team have been relentlessly working to make a difference in the lives of exploited and at-risk children in Thailand, Myanmar, and the war-zones in between.

The strategy is simple: Prevent, Rescue, and Heal. Prevent the atrocities of exploitation in all its forms, from trafficking, abuse and abandonment, to slavery and prostitution, rescue as many children as possible, and ultimately bring healing to their hearts, bodies, and minds. Life Impact has grown from the desire to reach and rescue others with the power and love of Jesus Christ, to an international organization effectively fighting exploitation across Southeast Asia and Brazil. Life Impact’s heart is that this impact would only continue to spread throughout the world!

Today, Lana and her team reside on the Thailand/Myanmar (Burma) border with over 150 children and with locations including our ‘Promise Land’, and ‘Boys’ Promise Land’, combining 40 acres and 17 family-style safe homes for long-term aftercare. Thousands of at-risk children, exploited families, and vulnerable poor have had their lives impacted and ultimately, forever changed through Life Impact International, Life Impact UK, and the Life Impact Thailand Foundation. And many more will follow, with the legalization of Life Impact Myanmar the official launch of Life Impact Brazil!

Recently, Life Impact International built the first-ever Rescue Headquarters on the Thai/Myanmar (Burma) Border and has played an active role in the Child Protection Team for the government of Thailand. The Government of Thailand has even claimed their Prevent, Rescue, and Heal model for all ASEAN countries in Southeast Asia, dubbing it the official model for Child Protection in Southeast Asia!

Life Impact International has grown from the desire in one girl’s heart to reach and rescue others with the power and love of Jesus Christ, to an international organization effectively fighting child exploitation throughout Southeast Asia and Brazil. Lana’s heart, along with the Life Impact team, is that this impact would only continue to spread throughout the world!
