 | A
Steady Path of Growth and Improvement
Rev. Kenneth E. Hagin began his ministry in Texas in 1934. For
twelve years he pastored, then traveled extensively in the evangelistic
field. In 1963, the Kenneth E. Hagin Evangelistic Association was
incorporated.
In 1966, the offices of the ministry were moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma,
and the ministry began a new era of growth. Rev. Hagin became increasingly
in demand for public meetings and seminars, and ministered to people
of all faiths across the United States. That same year, the radio outreach ministry was established and in 1976, the first television program was produced.
As the ministry grew, there was need for additional printed teaching
materials. Subsequently, the RHEMA Correspondence Bible School was formed to provide a number of
home Bible study plans. RHEMA Bible Training Center, developed by Kenneth Hagin Jr., was founded
in 1974 in response to the need for a school that would teach the
principles of faith to those preparing for the ministry.
In 1976, the ministry and school moved to new facilities to accommodate
the many outreaches and students from across America who were coming
for intensive training in the Word of God. In 1978, the name of
the ministry was changed to RHEMA Bible Church aka Kenneth Hagin Ministries, Inc.
RHEMA is located at 1025 W. Kenosha in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma,
a Tulsa suburb. The ministry headquarters is located in a two-story
building on the more than 110-acre RHEMA campus which currently
consists of 23 buildings including a 96-unit student housing complex.
RHEMA now has training centers in 13
other countries: Austria, Brazil, Colombia, Germany, India, Indonesia,
Italy, Mexico, Peru, Romania, Singapore, South Africa, South Pacific,
and Thailand. Kenneth Hagin Ministries also operates a Canadian
office, located in a suburb of Toronto, Ontario.
